Tile & Grout Cleaning

Trying to clean tile & grout can be very difficult. Have you ever tried to clean your own tile & grout, only to realize that it’s still dirty or has streaks in it? The hardest part to clean is the grout in-between the tile, it can stay dirty no matter how much elbow grease you put into it. Certain types of tile and grout cleaning solutions can leave residue on your tiles, too. The right cleaning solutions, equipment and experience make all the difference.

Tile Cleaning: How Important Is It?

It’s all about the germs! You would be disgusted if you knew how many germs are on a typical tile floor. Sweeping, moping or vacuuming helps, but only on the surface. You need seriously hot water with the right cleaning tool and high pressure to do the job right.

Maintaining Your Tile & Grout

If the floor isn’t very dirty and there are no spills to clean up, then all you have to mop with is warm water. People often use too many chemicals on their tile flooring, and doing this too often can harm the tiles. After mopping the tile floor, it’s a good idea to make sure that you dry the floor as well. You can use a dry mop for this to make things easier. One more idea when you’re mopping the floor with water is that you can use a mild detergent to make your mopping solution. Don’t add too much detergent however, you will end up with soap suds or streaks all over your floor.

Spills On Your Tile: Get It Cleaned!

When you do have spills on your tiles, you want to get to them as soon as possible. You might not see them all right away, but when you do, get to the disinfectant and mop them up. Did you know that you can also use a vinegar and water solution when mopping as well? The exception to the rule is marble flooring tiles, which would mean you don’t want to use any vinegar.

Got Tile Stains?

Do you have stains on your tiles? If so, then you can use scouring powder to help remove them. You want to mix this with water as well, and you want to allow the solution to sit on the stain for a few minutes, and then you’re going to use a cloth to clean the area. Now you know what to do to keep those tile floors clean.

Need a Professional Tile Cleaner?
